'The Wheel' began its creation before his death but became fully what it is throughout the time of his death and after. We like to think his passing became his last creative act by giving the piece its narrative - the constantly turning wheel of life, death and rebirth. Singing his death helps to accept it and to feel the huge universal truth that is at the core of our human experience. Out of the barren darkness comes the potential for new life and hope.
